HP Officejet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer Series
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

We have two issues:

1 - We enrolled our printer in Instant Ink and HP has been charging my card since 2019 but not sending new cartridges. We would like a refund for the services that weren't provided.

2 - Due to the above, we cancelled our enrollment with Instant Ink and now we cannot use our printer.

We paid for the HP cartridges, properly loaded them, and now we cannot print anything.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi @bradlib,

I'd like to help!

I understand you're facing issues with instant ink services.

HP Instant Ink cartridges do not work after the end of your current billing period, and you are required to return them to HP. To continue printing after your billing cycle ends, make sure you have standard replacement ink cartridges ready to use in your printer.

When you enroll in an HP Instant Ink plan, you pay a monthly fee to print a defined number of pages per month. The plans are based on the number of pages that you print, not on the cartridges.

For refund related queries, I’d recommend you contact the HP Instant Ink team(contact info can be found on the home page) in your region for assistance

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
