HP Office Jet Pro 8610 Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As of about a week ago my printer stopped it's connection to Web Services.  Of course that prevents the connection to HP instant Ink site, preventing it from querying the printer on the ink levels, and no ePrint capability.  Reviewed all the previous posts on this error, tried them all with no luck in resolving the connection.  There was no change to the network, hardware or software.  So there had to be some type of software update that is causing the issue.  Using the printer connected to the network by cable or wireless, it functions correctly.  Any recommendations?  Did HP make a change on their site that is preventing older printers to connect to it?

@1840Boss, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Web Services allows your printer to communicate securely over the Internet with web-connected printing services, including HP ePrint cloud printing and HP Instant Ink delivery services.

The printer has to be connected to the internet for this feature to work.

If you connect your printer to a computer with a USB cable, web-connected printing services do not work.

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

  1. On your control panel, press the HP ePrint icon or button.

If your control panel does not have an HP ePrint icon or button, navigate to Web Services Setup, Network Setup, or Wireless Settings to open the Web Services menu.

    • If a Web Services Summary screen or connected status displays, Web Services is already on.

Example of Web Services Summary screen

    • If a prompt to turn on Web Services or setup HP ePrint displays, press Turn On, Enable, or Setup.

Example of clicking Setup to turn on Web Services.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to turn on Web Services. If you are prompted to update the firmware, press OK.

Let me know how this goes.
