HP DeskJet 2700 All-In-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I know this question has been posted in this forum in past but cannot find a solution, I ve bought the Deskjet 2700 All-in-one series last month as kids are at home and need to print their homework.

Ordered some extra printing cartridges along with the printer and  everything works great except it cannot connect to Web Services. The printer is connected to my wi-fi, prints document from laptop/phone (HP Print app) perfectly fine.

Always on wifi ( wifi led solid blue) and have printed the  Printer info page with correct internet/wifi details but I when I want to subscribe to Instant Ink service and during the process when I press information  and cancel button an error page gets print out with no connection to EWS/internet. I ve tried refreshing the EWS by logigin on to the printer's console using the ip address , click on Web Services to start the web services setup I get the error, when I troubleshoot i get the following message The printer could not connect to Web Services. 'Web Services might be busy or temporarily unavailable. Try again later'.

I have updated the firmware on the printer (a proof that it can connect to internet wirelessley) and have treid all possible options, restart of wifi box, laptop, printer but no luck.

ive seen a few solutions on here, I've tried  all possible solutions on this forum, but nothing seems to work.

Can anyone please share a working solution or if there is something wrng with the printer then I need to return it

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Finally the solution to resolve the issue. Factory resetted the printer, deleted the Print Smart App  and then setup the again from scratch and it all worked fine second time around.

Thanks team for reaching out and helping

Hi @frus7ra7eduser9,

I'd like to help!

Try the below suggestions -

Restart the computer, printer, and router

To resolve many connectivity issues, restart the computer, printer, and router.

NOTE:

The following steps temporarily disconnect network and Internet connections, and require restarting your computer. Complete any tasks or downloads in progress before you continue.

  1. Turn off the router by pressing the power button or disconnecting the power cord.
  2. Turn off the printer.
  3. Close all running programs on your computer, and then shut down the computer.
  4. Press the power button or reconnect the power cord to the router, and then wait for the Internet activity light to display a normal connected status.
  5. Turn on the printer.
  6. Turn on the computer.
  7. Try to turn on Web Services.

If the issue persists, continue to the next step.

Let's disable webservices and re-enable it

--->Touch on the wifi icon ((i)) on the printer, and take down the IP address

--->Open a web browser (ex Chrome or Mozilla) and type in the printer's IP

---> click on webservices and remove webservices and re-enable it

If the issue persists,

Check the Internet proxy server settings

For networks that use proxy servers, update the Web Services settings in the printer EWS with the proxy information.

  1. Locate the Internet proxy settings.
    • Windows: Search Windows for Internet, and then click Internet Options in the list of results. On the Internet Properties window, click the Connections tab, select your network, if necessary, and then click Settings.
The network settings menu displays with the proxy settings.
From the EWS, click the Web Services tab, and then click Proxy Settings.
  2. Type the Address and Port values for your proxy server connection, and then click Apply.
  3. Try to turn on Web Services.

Hi Jay_G24,

Thanks for your message, I have tried all the options you suggested and no luck (infact tried the same options before posting on the forum by looking at help/other posts).

Can you please suggest other options I can try or last resort is to return the printer.

Many thanks
