I have recently changed my PC and my printer (HP 2600) is working fine. HP Smart App shows my printer but when I go into my account it says there is no printer. The orange information light is on all the time. I have tried to log in to web services but do not know my username password. Help!

Hi @kazruby ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP DeskJet 2600 All-in-One Printer is functioning properly but there’s an issue with HP Web Services and your HP Smart App account. Here's how you can resolve the issue:
Steps to Fix HP Web Services and Ink Account
Re-enable HP Web Services:
- On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button and the Information button at the same time to print a Network Configuration Report.
- From this report, find the printer's IP address.
- Open a web browser on your computer, and enter the printer’s IP address to access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS).
- Go to the Web Services tab, and if it’s disabled, enable it.
- You may need to accept the terms and conditions again.
Check HP Smart App Login:
- Log into the HP Smart App using the email and password associated with your HP account.
- If you’ve forgotten your password, click on Forgot Password and reset it.
- Once logged in, check if the printer appears under My Printers. If not, manually add the printer by clicking Add Printer and following the on-screen instructions.
Re-register Printer to HP Account: Enrolling in HP Instant Ink
- If the printer isn’t linked to your account, go to the HP Connected website (www.hpconnected.com) and log in using your HP account.
- Add your printer by entering its Claim Code. You can get the claim code by printing a Web Services Information Sheet:
- Press the Information button (the orange light) on the printer, which should print this sheet. It includes the claim code.
- After registering, check if your Instant Ink status updates.
Resolve the Orange Light:
- The orange light may be due to Web Services being disconnected or requiring a setup.
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the internet and that Web Services are active through the steps above.
