The level of ink in my initial Cyan, Magenta and Yellow cartridges is low. But my black cartridge is still almost full. I have received the new set of (all four) cartridges. I have the pre-paid bag to return "up to 4 cartridges" for recycling. What exactly should I do right now?

Option A: Replace only C, M, Y cartridges and send only those three for recycling.

Option B: Replace only C, M, Y cartridges and wait with recycling until the black cartridge is also empty and replaced -  then send all four for recycling.

Option C: Replace all four cartridges now, send all four for recycling.

Option 😧 Something else?

You can do whatever seems appropriate for your situation.

For example,

If you dislike the idea of leaving the depleted cartridges in their recycle bag waiting for the black cartridge, return the three cartridges now.

If you need a bag later for the black cartridge, you can request one.

The black cartridge works -- no need to remove it unless you dislike the disparity of leaving one and changing others.

Ink cartridges secured in their recycle bag do not pose a threat -- the bag can be closed and left in a drawer, for example.

What?

Ink is included in the service -- responsible recycling is included.

You will not be penalized if you change out your cartridges early after having received a replacement.

Were it mine to do -- Option A or Option B

I'd change out the cartridges that need to be changed - put the depleted cartridges in the recycle bag.

Close the bag (not permanently) - store the cartridges until the black cartridge is changed out for a new cartridge.

When it is time, add the depleted black cartridge to the bag, permanently seal the bag, return the cartridges to HP.
