Hi @Iop05,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "E3" error on your HP printer generally indicates a paper jam or a paper feed issue. Here’s a step-by-step guide to resolve the problem.

Check for Paper Jams

  • Open the Printer: Open all the access doors (e.g., the front cover, rear access door) to check for any jammed paper or foreign objects.
  • Remove Jammed Paper: Carefully remove any paper that might be stuck. Avoid tearing the paper to prevent leaving any bits inside.
  • Check the Paper Tray: Ensure the paper in the tray is not misaligned or overfilled.

Check the Paper Feed Rollers

  • Clean Rollers: Dust and debris on the rollers can cause feed issues. Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the rollers.
  • Inspect Rollers: Make sure the rollers are not worn out or damaged.

Restart Your Printer

  • Turn Off: Power off the printer and unplug it from the wall.
  • Wait: Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug In: Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check Printer Status

  • Printer Display: If your printer has a display panel, check for any additional error messages or prompts.
  • Printer Settings: Ensure the printer is correctly set up for wireless or wired connections, depending on how you’re connecting it to your phone.

Reconfigure Printer Connection

  • Reboot Devices: Restart both your phone and the printer.
  • Reconnect: Try reconnecting your phone to the printer. Ensure that your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer if it's a wireless setup.
  • Update Drivers: Make sure your phone's printing app is up to date.

Consult the Printer Manual

  • Error Codes: Refer to your printer's manual or HP’s support website for specific guidance related to the "E3" error code.

Perform a Factory Reset (if needed)

  • Reset Printer: If the issue persists, performing a factory reset might help. Refer to your printer’s manual for instructions on how to do this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
