When I try to print, my laptop gives me a "one or more cartridges depleted, but my HP 8710 is telling me no cartridges need to be replaced

Check the ink levels from the printer screen. Perform the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

Try making a copy from the scanner glass in black and color to check if that works.

 

As the issue is related to Instant ink cartridges, I need more information to help you out.
