Microsoft Windows 11

I paused my Instant Ink subscription because I needed to save on money monthly and was being charged overage charges (yes I know I could upgrade). I figured with my pausing this, I would not be charged my monthly bill for at least 6 months. But, instead, I am still being charged for using too much paper for my subscription and now I am paying more than my normal monthly bill when it is active. Why in the world would I pause a subscription to still have pages counted (no, I do not also have a paper subscription)? This seems counter intuitive. I still have the cartridges I had when I first bought this printer over a year ago. I would be better off cancelling if I can't even pause it without being charged. This seems ridiculous.
