Why does the XL cartridge not last as long as advertised??

I have noticed my normal cartridges last about 4 weeks, and the XL only lasts 6 weeks.

Going back to buying the normal one as it's not worth it.

The HP website does not seem to have an email to send complaints to, and hence resorting to the Community page.

Anyone else have this problem?

it all depends on what you are printing and the paper you use to your printer and driver settings all this takes a part in how much ink gets used.  The page count or life span advertised is more of an estimate and usually on a 5% page coverage only which is like two paragraphs worth of words.  I would look to updating your driver and going through your settings even using smaller font can make your ink last longer.  Hope this helps
