- Why i can't get the 6 months of free ink

I bought a printer that offered a 6 months free ink, 1 year extra warranty and when i tried to register it offered only 2 months??
From what i read here many people confronted with the same problem which tells me that this is false advertising??
Can you salve my problem or otherwise I will return the device.
