Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Instant Ink. Check out this link: HP INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER. .

Have an HP 5740 all-in-one printer. Yesterday, loaded two ink cartridges (from HP) into it. Would not print, got this message:

"Remove and reinstall the indicated ink cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed, and then touch ok."

I did that several times, just keep getting the same message. Bad cartridges?

Probably a defective cartridge indeed.

Can you see a circle (Black) or 3 dots mark (tri-color) at the bottom of the error? to indicate which cartridge is rejected.

Remove that cartridge and make sure the protective film has been removed, but only the tape and not the contacts below:

If that doesn't help, return with the cartridge to the place of purchase to send the cartridge to HP, it does have a limited warranty.
