After being with you for nearly two years I felt I wasn't using my printer enough to warrant having a subscription, so I recently cancelled it. I had received two cartridges during my subscription but not used them, today I finally ran out of coloured ink and the black was low, so I replaced the original cartridges with those you supplied, however, the printer went into ERROR so I rang your technical helpline where I was informed that the cartridges would have been turned off at the time I cancelled my subscription...! I believe this is illegal as I have more than paid for these cartridges so how can you just turn off two new cartridges that you'd supplied? I was told all I have to do is either; reinstate my account or I could go and buy cartridges from another supplier. This isn't ethical and you are taking money under false pretences. I have paid for a product which you have denied me the use of. I require the cartridges unlocked or my money back.

Hi @Dave2909,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

The main reasons why you might be unable to print with HP Instant Ink cartridges.

You canceled. Instant Ink cartridges only work in enrolled printers. Once you cancel, they may not work. To continue printing, remove the Instant Ink cartridges from your printer and purchase Original HP Ink or Toner directly from the retailer of your choice. Or re-enroll in Instant Ink.

I'm sorry but this is madness, I've gone to cancel and just found out about this so I have two brand new, full ink cartridges and you're telling me that I have to throw them away!?! Brand new, unused cartridges that are now useless? That is unbelieveable and TERRIBLY environmentally-unfriendly.
