HP ENVY 5032 All-in-One Printer

I am worried that I am going to run out of ink - my bill for instant ink indicates no pages printed but I know that I have done printing

If your HP ENVY 5032 All-In-One Printer is enrolled in the HP Instant Ink program and you're concerned about the accuracy of the page count on your billing statement, there are a few steps you can take to address the issue.

 

Check the Printer Status:

  • Verify that your printer is connected to the internet and is online.
  • Check the printer display or control panel for any error messages related to the ink cartridges.

Print a Usage Report:

  • Many HP printers allow you to print a usage report that provides details about the number of pages printed and ink levels.
  • Look for the option to print a "Usage Report" in the printer settings or on the control panel.

Verify Connectivity:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the internet. If there are any connectivity issues, it might not be communicating accurate usage data to the HP Instant Ink service.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve issues and improve the overall performance of the printer.

Check for Software Updates:

  • Ensure that the HP Smart software on your computer is up to date. Sometimes, updating the software can resolve communication issues between the printer and the Instant Ink service.

Review Printer Settings:

  • Make sure that the correct printer is selected in your print settings when sending print jobs. Printing to a different printer may not be counted in the Instant Ink usage for your enrolled printer.

Hi Alden

Thanks for the reply - I am afraid it is not very helpful - there are two issues that arise from what you propose - first is that I can't find any facility on the control panel of the printer to print an usage report and secondly when I am away for any length of time I get warning emails that the printer has lost contact with HP instant ink -even though I am not aware of any disconnection of my internet 

How can I check my ink levels if the printer is not communicating to HP
