@jcrnpine1, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like your HP ENVY isn’t printing after canceling Instant Ink and switching to regular HP cartridges. This issue can happen because Instant Ink cartridges stop working once the subscription is canceled, so the printer needs to recognize the new store-bought cartridges properly.

First, remove the new cartridges and restart the printer by doing the following:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back in.
  5. Turn on the printer.

Then, clean the cartridge contacts with a lint-free cloth to remove any dust or ink residue. After that, reinstall the cartridges and check if the printer recognizes them. Also, make sure you're using genuine HP cartridges that match your printer model. You may refer this guide:

If the printer still won’t print, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners on Windows, remove the printer, and then reinstall it with the latest HP drivers from HP’s website. If you see any error messages, let me know so we can narrow down the issue further! 😊

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
