deskjet 2600 wont except any new cartridges is it because ive not signed up to instant ink

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the cartridge error.

 

To better assist you - 

 

1.) What's the exact error?

2.) Are you enrolled in the Instant Ink?

3.) Can you post a picture of the cartridges installed in the printer and the error message?

it doesn't accept cartridges not sent from instant ink . so it says cartridge error

Are you getting a cartridge error with the regular Non-Instant ink cartridges?
