constant carriage jam on inkjet 5230

HP Recommended
HP officejet 5230
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a constant error message on my HP Officejet 5230 saying "carriage jam". I followed all guidance offered through HP support but nothing clears the error.
