HP Recommended
hp4520 all in one printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hi, I've been having an ongoing problem with my Envy 4520 Aio printer not printing in colour or sometimes a message comes up the printer is in an error state. I have spent a long time with a hp advisor but I  lost patience and gave up.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times but still, it will not print in colour. Please can someone help?

Thanks in advance

Julie

Hi There,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I'll be glad to assist you.

Is the copy working fine with color?

Could you please help me with the operating system?

What device are you using the printer with, a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or an iPhone?

Meanwhile, I suggest you do a Hard Reset on the printer without the cartridges.

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue. Remove the cartridge.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

(9) Put the cartridges back in.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Keep me posted.

Cheers:)
