genuine tricolour 301 carts installed in HP Envy 5530 product no.A9J40B incompatible cartridge mess

Today I reinstalled tri-colour and black cartridges into my HP Envy 5530  which has always been trouble free and efficient.

On restart I get message 1. "problem with one cartridge" then  2." incompatible  cartridges (the indicated cartridges

are not compatible with this printer"  I have always been loyal to the HP brand and have never bought or used

counterfeit or illegal products. HELP ME PLEASE! I am not much of a tekkie.

Hi,

 

Thank You for Writing to us. 

We would like to know which Region/Country you are calling from. The Cartridges compatibility depends on which Country calling from.

The HP Envy 5530 supports below cartridges region wise.

 

So please ensure correct cartridge is used.

If the issue remains please follow the steps in the document below :-

Also try some other steps.

Check if the protective tapes on the Cartridges are removed.

Clean the Copper contacts on the Cartridges using a lint free cloth and clean water.

Ensure cartridges are in correct slot. (Black in the right and Color in the left).

Try with One cartridge at a time and see if printer works with single cartridge. Each time close the door and check the message.

Also let us know the Cartridge warranty date, it will be mentioned on the Cartridges.

Would like to add to the above, I would like to know if you get any other error message apart from Imcompatible error,

for e.g:- "Cartridges cannot be used until printer is enrolled to Instant Ink" , Do the error message show up?

 

Also let us know if the printer you are using is Instant Ink Enabled?
