Hi, after the last update of my HP OFFICEJET PRO 8725 printer, it no longer recognizes compatible print cartridges. I find this policy incorrect and I will no longer purchase hp products if HP does not solve this problem. Buying original cartridges costs too much

Ciao

@marco80, Welcome to HP Support Community!

This is Dynamic security enabled printer. The Firmware Update may prevent supplies with non-HP chips or circuitry from working.

Note: For printers manufactured prior to December 1, 2016 dynamic security will not be enabled by the firmware. Please note that HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP cartridges.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

ok, but how do I know if my printer was produced before 2016? Also what does it mean that all HP printers manufactured after 2016 will not be able to use non-original cartridges? It's not fair, so I won't be buying HP anymore
