Use instant ink. HP software Ink level shows cardridge with 25% red and blue, but no yellow. Examined cartridge, no damage apparent. Dabbing tissue on print "holes" draws out only blue and red, no yellow. No build-up of dried ink. Machine is 2 yrs old, this cartridge were supplied as replacement using Instant Ink program. Worked fine until recently. I have performed the software clean program and the software 'deep clean'. Everything points to 'no yellow ink', but Instant Ink program won't supply new cartridge until all three colors exhausted? Any other tests I can perform to get them off the dime?

Thanx for your reply, but I had tried everything, without success. What it boils down to is I'm out of yellow ink in the cartridge, and can't get more until other colors used up, too.

Try the steps mentioned in this document.
Have you checked you HP Instant Ink account page? Your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account or recent cartridge shipment, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.
If the suggested information can't be found, please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
