Hi @SuzanneJ1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

HP's Instant Ink is a subscription service that delivers new ink cartridges to your doorstep when your printer is running low on ink. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-In-One Printer is compatible with this service. To use HP Instant Ink cartridges with your printer, you need to follow these steps.

  1. Sign Up for HP Instant Ink: If you haven't already, you'll need to sign up for an HP Instant Ink plan. You can do this on the HP Instant Ink website or through the HP Smart app.

  2. Choose a Plan: HP offers several subscription plans based on your monthly printing needs. Choose the plan that suits your usage and budget.

  3. Enroll Your Printer: After signing up for the service, you'll need to enroll your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e in the HP Instant Ink program. This typically involves entering the printer's serial number or a code provided by the Instant Ink service. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the HP Instant Ink website.

  4. Install the Instant Ink Cartridges: Once your printer is enrolled, HP will send you the compatible Instant Ink cartridges in the mail. When you receive the cartridges, follow these steps to install them:

    a. Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to the internet. b. Open the printer's access door to access the ink cartridge area. c. Remove the old ink cartridges, if any, and recycle them properly. d. Insert the Instant Ink cartridges into their respective slots. e. Close the access door.

  5. Printer Communication: The printer will communicate with HP servers to monitor your ink usage. When the ink levels run low, the printer will automatically order new cartridges for you, and they will be shipped to your address. This ensures you never run out of ink.

  6. Printing: You can now use your printer as usual. The cost of the ink is included in your monthly subscription fee, and you can print according to your plan without worrying about running out of ink.

  7. Billing: HP will charge you based on your monthly plan. You can manage your billing information through the HP Instant Ink website or the HP Smart app.

Remember that the Instant Ink service charges a monthly fee based on the number of pages you print, not the amount of ink you use. Be sure to choose a plan that matches your printing needs to get the most value from the service.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
