If I've run out of ink, can I use a store-bought ink cartridge instead of the Instant Ink?

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you want information on the cartridge, I am glad to assist you.

Yes, you can use regular cartridges when instant ink cartridges are low.

Make sure you remove all instant ink cartridges from the printer and then insert the regular cartridges,

I can ship the instant ink cartridges if you did not receive the replacement instant ink cartridges.
