Have you tried checking with a regular ink cartridge? Does the issue persist?
Does the issue persist when you make a copy from the printer?
Do you see any error on the instant ink account page?
Clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges.
Make sure the ink cartridges are inserted correctly
Check the ink cartridges
Remove and inspect the ink cartridges.

Open the ink cartridge access door on your printer, wait until the carriage is idle, and then remove the ink cartridges.
Some HP Instant Ink cartridges are physically larger than standard ink cartridges, but they will fit in your printer.

If there is tape on the cartridge, remove it (not all ink cartridges have tape).

Reinstall the cartridges.

Turn the printer off and back on.
