We live out in a rural area and we are on measured internet service.  If we leave the printer on, how much of our internet allotment will it use in a month?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

I understand your concern, however, we will not be able to say how much data the Instant Ink service will use. Instant Ink servers will keep checking on the printer status frequently.

 

If there is any errors or if the ink level is low, the servers notify you and take appropriate action.
