The issue is the hold you have on my money.  If you look at my account, you'll see I have used very low amounts of paper per month.  I did not realize I was bound/wedded to this plan for the life of the printer.  I thought if I wasn't getting my money's worth, I should just stop buying the cartridges.  Alas!  it's a scam.  I cannot use my printer because I refuse to pay for the pages I don't use.  I see no recourse.  Tell me this is not a rip-off.

Were you subscribed to the HP Instant Ink program?  If you have Instant Ink cartridges in the printer but do not have an active Instant Ink account you will need to replace the cartridges with retail cartridges and return the Instant Ink cartridges to HP.  See the Knowledge Base article here.
