Hi @hornbyman1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One printer is not printing anything after installing a new instant ink cartridge, even though the status shows the cartridge is full and you’ve cleaned it via the app, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure that the new cartridge is properly installed. Sometimes the cartridge may not be seated correctly. Remove it, check the contacts for any dirt, and reinstall it firmly.
Check for Protective Tape:
- If you just installed the new cartridge, make sure that all protective tape or plastic seals have been removed from the cartridge.
Run a Printer Self-Test:
- Print a self-test page to check for any hardware issues.
- To print a self-test page:
- Turn off the printer and then turn it on while holding the Cancel button.
- Once the printer begins, release the button and it should print a self-test page.
- To print a self-test page:
Check for Ink Blockage:
- The nozzles may be clogged, even after cleaning with the app. Try doing a deep cleaning directly from the printer’s control panel if it has the option, or run the cleaning cycle again through the HP Smart app.
Check the Print Settings:
- Ensure you have the correct settings selected for printing. For example, make sure that Color or Black printing is selected if you are printing in black.
Check Paper and Alignment:
- Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly and that there are no jams. Sometimes, a jam or alignment issue can cause the printer to skip printing.
Test Printing from Another Device:
- If you’ve been trying to print from the app, try printing from another device or directly from a computer to rule out any app-related issues.

Reboot the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and power it up. This can sometimes reset the printer and resolve minor issues.
Check Ink Levels via HP Smart:
- Even though it shows full, check again via the HP Smart app to verify the ink status. If the printer still reports an issue with the ink, there could be a problem with the cartridge or the printer itself.
Reset the Printer:
- As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset. This will return the printer to its default settings, which could fix any software-related issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
