I have received a replacement ink cartridge through instant Ink it is larger than the one that it is replacing. It is HP 67/305. Despite trying several times, my new printer keeps showing error. I have seen post before with people having the same problems.

Why is the cartridge a different size and how can i resolve please?

I have cancelled instant ink

Thank you

Instant Ink cartridges are indeed larger than regular cartridges - this is normal.

Assuming the cartridge is the correct type / number, it will fit in your printer.

That said...

You might have answered your own question.

If the cartridge you are trying to use is an Instant Ink Cartridge

AND

You have cancelled your Instant Ink subscription,

The cartridge will not work.

It is only intended to be used with your active Instant Ink subscription.

What?

All Instant Ink cartridges remain the property of HP.

This information is explained in your Terms of Service contract.

After the Instant Ink contract is terminated, all instant ink cartridges (including any Instant Ink "Ready" cartridges "activated" as part of the subscription) will lock and cannot be used in any printer.

What to do?

Remove all Instant Ink / Instant Ink Ready cartridges from the printer,

Purchase a new set of HP ink and install it into the printer.
