HP DeskJet Plus 4140 All-in-One Printer

I have tried to to add my cell phone number to my profile and it will not accept it. It keeps telling me that my mobile number is not available.  Then it states the following: If you own this mobile number, you can release it by signing into the other account and changing it there.  What the F are they talking about??????

In fact, it happens on any HP site I sign into.  Does not matter if i'm signing via my laptop, or mobile phone.

Finally figured it out.  I had another email address linked to HP with my mobile number assigned to it.  Once I deleted my mobile phone from the email address that was no longer needed, I was able to add it to the correct email address.
