HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer

I have two printers in two different states.  I need the printers to be shipped to two different addresses.  I read another inquiry that was similar.  A HP employee said that you have to create two separate accounts.  That's ridiculous.  How hard can it be to create a field where each printer has an option for different addresses.  In a day and age where we have so many accounts for so many different things... come on.  Now I have to delete the printer from my original account and then create a whole new account?

Welcome to the HP Community --

True - Unless something has changed and the service works differently than you were told by HP,

You need to have an Instant Ink service contract for each different location.

There are likely reasons for the limitations, none of which make any difference to your opinion.

What to do?

If you have not already done so,

Your faster option:

Contact the team at  HP Instant Ink support during business days and hours available in your region.

OR

You may choose to wait here in the HP Community for an agent to find and respond to your question.

When necessary, Agents can access private information.

Waiting is not faster – our HP Community is not  HP Instant Ink support  – Waiting generally works.

Thanks for your response. It was a process to remove the printer from the account without deleting everything but I was able to do it, but then it kept reappearing in the account. Then I saw something that said it needs to also be removed from HP smart app as well. I was not able to do that with the instructions given so out of frustration, I removed the smart app from my computer.  I'll try to set up the printer again as if it's new, will reinstall HP smart, and try to open a new account that way.  Now to see if it won't allow me to use the same email for a different account... I'm guessing I'll have to set up a new email to create the new account.  It's kind of infuriating. It seems archaic for the user experience.  They should work on that.

You are welcome.

True - some of what is required is unique to the contract type, I think.

Were it mine to do, I might wait for tomorrow and try contacting  HP Instant Ink support

Take advantage of whatever setup help you can get and make as few changes as necessary to get closer to what you want.

Good Luck.
