Out of curiosity, isn't AVC actually the H264 implementation? Does this mean RGS does not support NVENC for H264 on the GTX series? Is it in testing or is HP planning to support this in the future?

 

For reference, I'm using KVM virtual machines so I actually don't need any of the VMware settings. In KVM, when you pass through a graphics card, the non-GPU graphics driver is automatically replaced with the proprietary driver and any console you might have once had access to is removed. For this reason I usually install VNC as a fallback for my KVM virtual machines because the only way to access them is through a 3rd party remote protocol.

So AVC is the H264.  You will see properties for it in the config files.  From what I was informed, NVENC is supported on Win 10.  Going to run this past R&D to confirm this is accurate.  Get back to you shortly.
