Can't turn touchpad off and I use a wireless mouse

Hi,

I can't get the touchpad to turn off. It doesn't have the deal in the top left corner to turn off. I've researched this for hours on end. Can't get through to talk to a live person from HP. I've tried about 20 solutions all to have failed.

@howdy1000 Here are the steps  to disable touchpad when mouse is connected using Settings

1. Open Settings.
2. Click on Devices.
3. Click on Touchpad.

4. Under "Touchpad," clear the Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected option.

   

Once you completed the steps, the touchpad will remain disabled unless you disconnect your mouse.

If that doesn't help and you want to disable the touchpad instead use the mouse alone, let me know.
