Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I understand that the cursor keeps jumping erratically and you have already ran the diagnostic.

I'll like to help

Let's try updating the Touchpad drivers from Device Manager

- In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
- In the list of devices, look for Mice and other pointing devices and expand the list
- Right-click the touchpad driver and select Update Driver Software.
- Click Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated driver.
- Restart your computer to complete the installation of the updates.

Also update the BIOS form this Link: https://hp.care/2GfimXE

If the issue persists, please contact our Phone Support for Service Options

Step 1. Open link: https://hp.care/2moMFSc
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.

Let me know how it goes and keep me posted if you need further assistance.

Thank you 🙂

I had already checked all the drivers of mice are up to date or not and even the bios version is also up to date even though i had the persistence of the same problem.I had done the hardware diagnostic test and the touch pad failed in the right button  test.I had even visited the service centre regarding the same issue but they are not at all ready to give the support to me because i made the purchase in united states  and at present iam in india.the laptop is also in warranty too.very very disappointing and bad support from the hp guys ,its a very shame full situation .never recommend HP to buy.I had seen many of the companies import the parts if they are not available  in a particular country,i had listened the reason for not getting support is that parts for this laptop is not available in india.you can import if not available ,without that you guys are telling the silly reasons and loosing the customer faith and your fame
