Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums

I understand that you are looking for details of Battery Charging concern

Kindly make sure you have the Latest BIOS updates in the pc

Kindly uninstall ACPI Drivers for the pc – use the following steps

Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listing

  1. Click Start and type device in the search field, then select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Batteries category.
  3. Under the Batteries category, right-click the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listing, and select Uninstall.
    • You may see more than one
    • WARNING: Do not remove the Microsoft AC Adapter driver or any other ACPI compliant driver.
  4. On the Device Manager Taskbar, click Scan for hardware changes.
    • Alternately, select Action > Scan for hardware changes.
  5. Windows will scan your computer for hardware that doesn't have drivers installed, and will install the drivers needed to manage your battery's power. The notebook should now indicate that the battery is charging.
  6. If you still have the issue try updating the chipset driver and reboot.

Kindly do post Product number of the pc or the model number of the pc to give you more specific information

Hope this helped.
