HP ZCentral Remote Boost
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I've been dealing with this quirk for quite awhile and have just been rolling with it since it is possible to work around.  I decided today that if I don't report it somewhere it will probably never be fixed.

Several of the 3D packages I use require the ALT + Middle Mouse Drag combo/gesture to pan the camera around.  What I have noticed, however, is that when using the ZCRB client the ALT + Middle Mouse Drag gesture is often sent as only a Middle Mouse Drag, without the ALT modifier.  It seems to depend on what order you do this in.  If I try to initiate the ALT + Middle Mouse Drag gesture after normal user activities such as typing or using other mouse gestures, then the server receives or interprets the gesture as only a Middle Mouse Drag without the ALT modifier.  If I first input an ALT + Left Mouse Drag (or ALT + Right Mouse Drag) and then, without releasing the ALT key, follow up with an ALT + Middle Mouse Drag gesture, the server responds correctly.

Over this long pandemic I had developed a pretty good automatic reflex to input gestures in this order as a workaround, but now that I'm spending some days in the office again and using the workstation directly it has started to catch me off-guard again when I'm logged in remotely and the gesture doesn't work on the first try.

Hello.  What version of Remote Boost do you have on your sender and receiver?  What is the sender's OS?  Any particular keyboard language being used?  Can you tell me what applications you are seeing this issue with?

Since I already had a sender and receiver configuration for you on a previous issue, we went ahead and tried to reproduce.  We can reproduce the issue and will create a defect for this.  Will update when I have something for you to test.

This issue has been fixed in Remote Boost 20.3 which should be on the web sometime next week.
