Linux

HI,

I have a Linux sender (Centos 7.6) running 20.3.1 and a windows receiver running 20.3.1. When i try to login using remote boost to the linux server i get a black screen after putting in my username and password, any idea ? The linux server has headless adapters. It all seemed to start happening after upgrading everything to 20.3.1.

It seems to happen when i have "set sender display to match reciever display" checked. If i use "do not change sender display" it logs me in.

This is the last thing i see in the reciever logs after the black screen:

On the linux sender i went back to  remote boost version 20.2.1.8637 and now it seems to work.

Whats strange is on some computers 20.3.1 seems to work fine and some not. I dunno, i should have just left every linux like it was lol.

Have you tried updating to the most current graphic driver?  Sometime Remote Boost is affected by graphic drivers.  Sounds like you are using EDID emulators to go headless, GeForce card on your sender?  Remote V20.4 was just released.  One question on 20.3.1, I did have a user report that one the first connection, the sender screen was not matching the layout properly on a dual screen receiver to a headless Linux sender, but after disconnecting and reconnecting everything was fine.  There was a fix for this on Windows sender in 20.3.1, but it was not reported as an issue on Linux senders.  I am currently looking into this.  You could try 20.4 sender and receiver to see if that resolves the issue when it releases to HP Software Depot.  I just looked out there and the packages are not there yet.  Will pin a post to this forum when they are.
