Z6 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

We are having trouble connecting to the sender (v20.0.0.23427) which is sitting on a Z6 G4 with a Titan RTX card. It just sits endlessly at the Establishing Connection message.

Have any of you been able to get a sender working with a Titan RTX card?

Many thanks,

Steve

Sorry, I should have added that we are running on Windows 10 LTSC 1809.

Thanks,

Steve

Do you ever get past the establishing connection screen, or is it just stuck there?  Are you trying to use resolution and layout matching when connecting?  It could be that since this is not a Quadro card, we are not able to successfully go any further.  We fall back to NVIDIA Quadro for resolution matching, and if that fails we try Windows.  Do you have displays attached to your sender or is it headless?  I don't believe we have done any testing with the Titan RTX card but have done testing with the Quadro RTX cards.

I work on the behalf of HP.

Hi Kelly,

Many thanks for your reply!

No, it never gets passed the Establishing Connecting banner, regardless of whether the Receiver is set to "Do not change Sender display(s)" or "Set Sender display(s) to match Receiver display(s).

Before we installed the Nvidia driver ZCentral would connect using the BAsic Windows drivers, but performance was terrible (as you'd expect) and things like screen blanking wouldn't work. Once we installed the correct Nvidia driver, it stopped connecting.

The system has a physical display connected to it, which was how we could tell the screen blanking wasn't working.

Cheers,

Steve
