HP Z800 / Z820
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have installed HPRGS Sender V7.7 onto a HP Z820 machine running 64-bit WIndows 10. There are no monitors attached to it. I use the HPRGS Reciever V7.7 to try and connect to that computer and all i get is a black screen. It seems like every windows machine with no monitors attached gives me a black screen.

All machines have either 1 or 2 GeForce RTX 2080 TI vidoecards.

I have added the following to the C:\Program Files\HP\Remote Graphics Sender\rgsenderconfig file:

Rgsender.Compatibility.Displays.AllowNvidiaResolutionMatching=on

Rgsender.Compatibility.Displays.ForceEdidOnHeadless=1

Once that was added i restarted the computer and i still get the same black screen. I have also updated the Nvidia driver to the latest 452.06. But still the same issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Hi CInjin,

On senders that have GeForce cards, a physical EDID emulator will be necessary to support headless mode when using Remote Boost.

This little device will provide all the display data required by your graphics card to render displays.

If you purchase any, just make sure that the device supports all the resolutions you need.
