Holding down left ALT and scrolling, unexpected behaviour in ZCentral

We are experiencing an issue with holding down alt and scrolling on an HP t640 Thin Client running ThinPro OS 7.2 SP 5.5.

While holding down the left ALT key scrolling is not possible in a ZCentral Remote Boost Session. The held down key is transmitted the scrolling is not. Holding down other keys while scrolling works as expected. We noticed this while working with Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve but the issue could be observed in other applications too:

• Holding down SHIFT while scrolling in the timeline adjusts the track hight – works as expected
• Holding down CTRL while scrolling in moves the timeline horizontally – works as expected
• Holding down left ALT while scrolling should zoom in and out of the timeline but does nothing

When we connect mouse and keyboard directly to our machines holding down ALT while scrolling works as expected. Using a MacOS receiver also works as expected. This suggests that the issue is with the ThinPro system. We tried disabling shortcuts and hotkeys and changed to a different keyboard layout but to no success. Is there a solution to this admittedly very specific problem? Thank you for your support!

Taking a look at this.  What version of Remote Boost are you using on your sender and receiver?  Are you using a specialty keyboard with Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve?  What version are you using for Resolve.  What OS version and build are you using on your sender?

We are using Remote Boost 20.3 on both sender and receiver. We don't use a specialty keyboard. We use the one that comes with the t640 thin clients. We use the Resolve 17.4.3 but the error occurs in all kinds of software where scrolling and holding alt at the same time is required. We experience the error with all versions of Windows 10 on the sender.

With every other operating system on the receiver (Mac/Windows) scrolling and holding down alt at the same time works as expected. Only with Thin Pro OS it does not work.

Thank you for the additional information.  We were able to reproduce the issue. It only seems to be ThinPro, but haven't tested a Linux receiver.  Windows receiver works as it should.
