Product: HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Printer

Hello. HP must have the WORST support options in history.  I am trying to adjust my HP 4650 Office Jet from wireless to wired.  My new modem does not do wireless. My internet is with ethernet.  I switched off the wifi on the printer.  I connected it with that silver cable to the PC.  How do I get it to function? When I've looked at drivers, I was only offered "smart app," and I don't have apps and smart.  Thank you for your help.  HP stinks.
