HP Z8 G4 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all

We are struggling to get any reliable remote audio from HP Remote Sender and getting it from couple of machines seems more of a luck than a rule:

All machines having issues have both motherboard sound card and Nvidia one properly installed (during troubleshooting at least) and they both work locally.

Some of them are in fact HP Z8 G4 Workstations.

We virtually tried everything we could think of:

- disabling one or the other adapter in Device manager and/or making one or the other a default one

- disabling both adapters and letting the HP RGS/Zboost installer install HP remote sound card.

- multiple installs with cleaning of the install and ProgramData Folder of both HP RGS 7.7. and Zboost Central trial.

- updating drivers on the machine to latest available versions (Nivida one usually is already)

Machines which have remote audio working (minority of them) got is on first install or in one or two cases after installing the MB sound card driver (was indeed missing) and reinstall of HP Remote Sender.

In all non-working cases the cause (even when no other audio device besides the HP remote one is installed) is the same and rg.log always has one the same error message:

RecorderSubsystem::createRecorderAndMixer - audio device not found
RecorderSubsystem::addAudioListener - No valid recorder or recorder in wrong mode

Unfortunately there is nowhere on the internet any info what this means and why the sender ignores the machine sound cards.

Any ideas what to try here?
