RemoteBoost service will not start on Ubuntu 18.04

HP Recommended
ZCentral RemoteBoost
Linux

This is a fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04 with KDE desktop.

Installation via install.sh as root proceeded without issue, and license file copied to /etc/opt/hpremote/rgsender.

However the rgsender service fails to automatically start. systemctl status rgsender reports teh service is loaded, but it's stuck in an "activating" state with exist status=1.

/var/log/syslog reports rgsender continously trying to re-launch, but with no specifics about why it's failing. status=1/FAILURE.

/var/log/hp/ and /var/log/hp/tmp are empty.

i am grateful for any assistance!
