hp z central
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

we are trying to use HP ZCentral Remote Boost. The initial setup and a first test with a user already connected to the machines was ok. After connecting with a new, previously unknown user, it is no longer possible to work correctly with Remote Boost. After logging in, the session is freezing. Used to get an error saying network connection error then freezing, but hasn't happened for a few days now.

Can you tell me what version of Remote Boost you are using on the sender and receiver?

20.3.1.8860 is the version number for both

Is the first user still logged in when the new user is trying to connect?  If so, Remote Boost will think the second person is trying to collaborate.  Remote Boost waits 15 seconds for the primary user to acknowledge the second user and allow them into their session.  If no acknowledgement, then the second user is disconnected.

If this is not what you are doing, please comment on what you are doing exactly for replication.

Is both sender and receiver on Windows 10?

If so what version and build are you using?

Can you try v20.4.0.8886 to see if that makes any difference?

No one else is logged in. I open remote boost, put in the pc name then it asks for a login before connecting. Once I connect I sign in with the same login and it loads for a few moments then the desktop shows up and immediately freezes.

both are one windows 10

version 21H2 build 19044.1766 on both

Trying the new version, i am having trouble installing the manager, asking for a license file

Are you trying to install V22.1?  If so that does require a different license file if the sender is not an HP Z Workstation.  You can install V20.4.0.8886 without having to use a different license.  I will have PM activated for you so I can provide you with my drop box.  I would like to see if this resolves your issue.

Also, is your sender (remote system) headless, meaning no displays attached?
