HP ZCentral Remote Boost
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, We are using the HP ZCentral Remote Boost (Sender & Receiver) on all our HP Workstations for remote working. There are certain instances where as an admin I would like to collaborate with the users system to check and troubleshoot issues when the user is connected and working. We are able to use the HP ZCentral collaboration feature on most of the systems for this requirement. However, on some systems when I try to connect when the user is connected and working after entering my username and password even without prompting the end user to allow access, the following message is thrown immediately:

"Authorization failed

When you attempt to connect to another user's desktop a dialog is displayed on the Sender desktop asking the logged-in user to allow your connection. A user is not allowed to connect to another user's desktop unless they are explicitly allowed/authorized. Either you were not granted access or the dialog timed-out and you were implicitly denied access."

Do you have automatic collaboration on the sender enabled?

You can do this two ways.  One being editing the rgsenderconfig file.

This is located at C:\Program Files\HP\Remote Graphic Sender.

## Allow authenticated collaborators to connect without prompting for
## authorization.
Rgsender.Collaboration.AlwaysAcceptCollaborators=1   (shown enabled here)

Save the change, and restart the sender service to have the change take effect.

You can also modify the sender by using the SenderConfigApp.exe tool in the above

called out directory.

Save the change. You will be prompted that the sender needs to be restarted.  Accept this

to have the change take effect.

If you still have issues, let me know.
