Welcome to HP support community.

Try to create a custom paper size to fix this issue.

  1. Load the custom-size paper into the paper input tray.

  2. Open the item you want to print.

  3. Click File, and then click Print.

  4. In the Print window, click Preferences, Properties, or Printer Properties.

  5. Click the Paper/Quality tab, and then click Custom.

    NOTE:

If you do not see a Custom button on the Paper/Quality tab of the printer properties window, skip to the section to Create custom paper sizes from Devices and Printers.

    Custom button in print properties

  6. In the Custom Paper Size window, click New.

  7. Type a name for your custom paper size, adjust the width and height to your preference, and then click OK.

    NOTE:

To change the dimensions to metric, click Millimeters.

Your custom paper size is now saved. You can select this custom paper size in the future and edit it if needed.

  8. Click OK, click the Paper Size drop-down menu, and then scroll down and select your custom paper size.

Custom paper size in drop-down list

  9. Make any other preference changes if necessary, and then click OK.

    NOTE:

Supported paper sizes vary by printer. If you input custom dimensions that your printer does not support, the new custom paper size does not display when you attempt to print. Check the printer specifications for your printer for more information on supported paper sizes.

  10. Click OK or Print to print the document.

Hi Thanks for your suggestion. My paper sizes already include a 5 x 7 size so I don't believe that is my problem. However, I think I am exceeding the thickness of paper that can be fed through my Envy 5530 injet printer The 5 x 7 photo paper is actually 190gsm and continually refuses to be fed through. What is a more suitable paper weight for me to use? Where can I find the specs for my printer paper options? Many thanks Doug

These are the specifications of your Printer. Go to the paper-handling specifications: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-5530-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304881/model/5304882/...

Is this an HP Photo Paper?

Hi No the paper I am using is not an HP photo paper, but it used to work without any problems. I think my printer feed rollers may be worn or need cleaning so that they can feed the paper more efficiently. Failing that I will have to buy some thinner/lighter weight paper or in the extreme a new printer Thanks for your help Doug

Hi Followed your instructions for cleaning the rollers etc. Sadly it didn't work. I can still print on lighter weight paper (130gsm), so I will have to stick with that. Thanks for all your help Doug
