Product: HP Photosmart

The 564 black cartridge is too big and now XL size.  I even ordered off of HP site after buying ones that won't fit at store.  Why have these changed size and won't fit?

Firstly HP 564 black and HP 564XL black are SAME size physically, only the amount of inks inside are not the same.

 

I don't know what is your Photosmart printer but looks like your printer uses TWO black ink cartridges

 

(a) The wider one is Black ink cartridge,

(b) The narrower one is Photo ink cartridge which is also in Black

 

I think you need to replace the Photo black (it has a camera symbol on it), not normal black.
