OfficeJet Pro 7740
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently upgraded to an OfficeJet Pro 7740 WF and noticed the delay for flatbed scanning is so short I can't even get the paper turned over before it sends the scan to my document folder on my computer. Is there a setting to lengthen this delay? Personally I wish it would just let me hit the button to start scanning again before it automatically did it. Mt last Officejet delay was much longer.

@billyslim, Welcome to HP Support Community!

To assist you better, I would like to know the following-

Are you using the ADF or the flatbed scanner? On ADF, the scanning is automatic while on the flatbed you can control the clicks.

Are you trying to use the Scan to Computer feature?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

This is when I'm using the flatbed scanner, scanning to the computer. It asks if I have another document to scan, I press yes and it completes the scan and sends it to my computer faster than I can get the next sheet loaded and press the button to start the next scan cycle. The default delay is to short. Thank you

There is no option to delay the scan.

However change the original which you want to scan before you press the yes button.

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

Either way, you do it the delay is to short. That's unfortunate they changed that to a shorter delay! Lot's of things changed for the worst with this new office jet
