I replaced the ink cartridges in y 8610, using the cartridges supplied by HP Instant Ink, and now I'm persistently received the error message:
"The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed."
I continue to receive this error even after going thru the various troubleshooting approaches outlined on the HP Support page: reinstalling the cartridges, resetting the printhead, etc.
The printer was working fine up until this, although it was very low on ink.

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
