@Steve_33

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Which Printer do you have?

If you insert your old ink, do you still get the error message?

Let us know 🙂

Thanks!

Printer: Officejet Pro 8600

Ink: 950XL, black

Inserting the old cartridge displays a message saying that the ink is depleted. It doesn't say anything about the cartridge being damaged. I also have an old partly-used cartridge, which displays a message saying it has been used. All cartridges are genuine HP.

That made no difference. I still get the message  "One or more cartridges appear to be damaged."

If all cartridges give you an error message and you've tried all the steps, I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this as this could be a hardware issue.
