I have seen several posts on this topic and I have exhausted all of the possible solutions I saw referenced to resolve the issue but hopeful there is another one out there I have yet to try (aside from buying a new printer). Towards the end of the life of my first set of ink cartridges, the black ink on my printouts started having smears and when I replaced the cartridges, the color ink prints fine but no black at all. I have cleaned the printhead repeatedly, reset the printer by unplugging and plugging back in but to no avail, still no black ink.

Unfortunately, the warranty is expired so hopeful there is another solution - any suggestions are welcomed!

If the issue persists after cleaning the Printhead, then you need to get the printer serviced
