tried your suggestion cleaning the thin black line on the glass....did not work..still getting the black 3/4" vertical line on the left of the document I am trying to copy. Have cleaned the whole glass white backing on the lid and the rollers & spacer.....all not fixing the problem. Any other suggestions? As everyone else has said this does not occur when copying directly fro the computer only when trying to make a copy on the printer.
